CAMERAS ON VACATION:
having a wonderful time, wish you were here.

With the advent of easily accessible cameras, most people carried them while on vacation in order to record their trip.  These postcards present an amusing portrait of travelers and their camera adventures.

Hiking in the mountains seems to have been a popular pastime

A person should be properly dressed and of course always carry a camera

Traveling out West often provided interesting summer experiences to record with your camera

Sometimes the sign just read "Gone  Fishing"

The cool breezes associated with sailing were often quite nice.

Or one could just lounge about on the beach.

And then of course,  there was always the Grand Tour where a camera of your own might not even be necessary.
