ALICE BOUGHTON
(1866-1943)
Alice Boughton studied painting in Paris and Rome. She was an assistant in Gertrude Kasebier's
studio, as well as a member Photo-Secession herself. Her photographs
were exhibited at 291 and her images were also published in
Camera Work in 1909. Boughton's book, Photographing The Famous was
published in 1928.

YVETTE GUILBERT
(1865-1944)
Yvette Gilbert started singing at age five. She became a model at
age 16 and was also an actress. Gilbert often appeared at the
Moulin Rouge and she sang at Carnegie Hall in 1906. Toulouse-Lautrec made many
portraits and caricatures of her. Yvette Gilbert also appeared in several
